My Enemy -- A Poem

Hooded bearded figure sits on striped desert sands holding a staff; red monochrome scene with PHILOSOCOM Article Empire logo.

This world is filled with hostility.

Hatred, violence, and little empathy.

The practical solution for me is to isolate,

Such a solitary life I expect at any rate.

This world is my enemy.

It made several want to die, right in front of me.

I burned most of my bridges.

To stability and peace, they were hostile leeches.

And I don't want to save no more, I must put strict boundaries,

Even at the cost of very few social possibilities.

This world is my enemy.

It made several want to die, right in front of me.

The world is dangerous to me and that is a fact.

I must isolate from this hostile threat.

And the depth of my good heartedness is starting to run dry,

It allowed me to build an empire set to rectify.

This world is my enemy.

It made several want to die, right in front of me.

This world is my enemy.

Being outside feels uncomfortable and eerie.

This world is my enemy.

It made several want to die, right in front of me.

This world is my enemy.

Being outside feels uncomfortable and eerie.
