Why Catering Is More Regarded Than the Truth

Societies are built on catering, or in other words, on the ability to please and satisfy others. In business, in politics, and in social gatherings, he or she who has the more resources, or the more respect, are the ones that gets catered the most.

"The customer is always right", even if they are wrong. Another variant to this sentence, is "the customer is always king". That is the hypocrisy of catering, and the hypocrisy of business.

Catering requires you to put on a mask and pretend that you care about the person before you, while in reality, you might care more about being paid, than about the person themselves. Catering matters in this case because the person before you, a customer in this case, has money. And in exchange for your pretending, you can get some of the money they have.

Catering has to do with material survival, in a world where philosophy is considered an esoteric niche, mainly because it is not as profitable as catering.

All business is built on catering. In business, if there is not money involved, then the person, or the task at hand, might as well be worthless.

Genuine philosophers aren't people pleasers. Genuine philosophers say the truth even if the truth is uncomfortable.

The purpose of catering is also to make someone comfortable. This is why society is pretentious by default: catering matters more than the truth; material survival matters more than the truth. Philosophy, the research of truth, is cast aside as people, justly, need to survive.

And to not be lonely, people might cater to others for the sake of reducing their own loneliness, than necessarily caring about the person themselves. That is the hypocritical part of social interactions.

The truth is often shocking and uncomfortable. The truth, therefore, matters only for those who have the strength within them to hear it, despite the discomfort it might cause.

Society is but a theatre of masks and roles we take upon ourselves for the sake of survival and other functions. The truth often has nothing to do with it. The customer is right even when they are awfully wrong. The customer is king even when they are full of vices. What matters is that the customer is pleased and gets what he or she wants, in exchange for his or her money.

Money is a necessary evil, but for many, money is an incentive. An incentive to be able to live in luxury, to be able to travel the world, and so on and on.

I am only a "strange" person because I have the need for the truth. The truth sets me free from the stress I was born into. I was born a stressful human. The truth sets me free from this stress I am otherwise confined to. Philosophy, therefore, is a way of life for me.

There is a deep connection between the truth and virtue, while catering is often connected to the vice of dishonesty. You don't care about the person in front of you necessarily, you care about his money. Otherwise, why would you cater to him? You might cater to that person because of other reasons, but these reasons are necessarily selfish. Otherwise, you would not cater to him/her.

I have no desire to overly partake in a world that is based on catering. Catering is built on vice while the truth is built on virtue. The truth requires us to be strong, to be though, to be able to endure it. Catering requires us to please others for selfish gain.

In my eyes, a world that is based on selfish gain is a world that has failed its own humanity. Here I am, providing my articles for free, because I care for the human heart more than I care about money. I am ascetic that gets to live from what he has and is pleased with what he has. Financial gain is lesser to me compared to the human heart.

And I am too heartful to partake in a world that is based on selfish gain. Instead, I prefer to rectify it from afar using a free article empire.

The reasons why the very politicians we may despise are at the top, is because they tell people what they want to hear. They are not master philosophers; they are master caterers.

Catering, not the truth, is how people not only survive but thrive. Such a world is not worth partaking in, in my humble opinion.

A truly good world is a world where you actually care about the person in front of you. It is a world where the truth, not niceness, is more respectful. Truth and justice.

As much as we may demand justice, this is an unjust world where only those who cater get to financially prosper. The customer is always right even when they are wrong.

This statement only makes sense because money, which is considered the root of all evil, is involved.

People hate their jobs because they need to pretend, they care. They need to meet a certain quota, and fit certain standards, whether they like it or not.

A truly good work is one that comes from passion, rather from force. Then, the job feels more like an adventure than a chore, whether it is successful or a failure.

In a world of catering, happiness is a rarity. In a world of truth, happiness and satisfaction are more commonplace.

Often times, survival matters more than happiness. The key to lead a truly good life is to combine survival with doing something that makes you truly happy.
